Ingredients
8TBGRATED organic food grade cacao butter
3TBreal maple syrup
3TBcacao powder
1tspvanilla
12washed and dried strawberries
Instructions
Using a box grater, grate a chunk of cacao butter. (Edible cacao butter usually comes in a bag with several small chunks. A little goes a long way—one small chunk of cacao butter is usually more than enough for the entire recipe.)
Place 8 TB of the grated cacao butter into a double boiler and melt, stirring frequently.
Once the cacao butter is melted, reduce heat and add the maple syrup and vanilla to the double boiler. Stir until well combined.
Add the cacao powder and stir until glossy and smooth.
Remove the chocolate from heat.
Using a spoon, drizzle chocolate over the strawberries (or alternatively, dip the strawberries in chocolate). Place strawberries on a lined plate or tray and chill in fridge for 10-15 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
Notes
You can also make the chocolate in the microwave instead of a double boiler. Just melt the cacao butter before adding anything else.
